Hey all

Having problems with my main comp. Cant connect to Inet/email/daoc/chat proggys etc etc. Ive checked cables etc and they are all plugged in. 2nd comp is on same router and working fine.

Comp was working this morning, doesnt now. Havent made any changes. I checked network settings and the main comp only has network card listed whereas 2nd comp also has a, what I believe to be, simulated card called 1394.

Can anyone shed some light on how to fix this?

Disable and re-enable your network connection in network properties or ipconfig /release and ipconfig /renew.

If that doesnt work, remove your card from device manager, reboot and re-install it. :)

it says limited or no connectivity when I try to reinstall the card or the other options you offered.

Kinda at a loss atm... Could it be the cable? the onboard network card?

Just thougt I'd add for everyone else that this turned out to be an SP2 issue(great service pack!!! duuuh).

I had to go to Device manager->properties of the network card->advanced and change the speed & Duplex value from auto to 10mb full.

Now who didnt know that!
