Well my Spearhead game finally arrived and like all other games it of course requires the CD in the disk drive to play.
Since I don't have a fancy new pc with über quiet DD (Disk drive rattles the box like and old diesel engine ), i went "underground" to get the required no cd patch.
Found with relative ease i must add.
Why they insist on such protection measures is beyond me.
Surely the CD KEY for online gaming is a much better, and ultimately, harder to crack deterrent.
Since the no CD crack is relatively easy to obtain for ALL games the CD requirement is more of an annoyance to legit customers than an major obstacle to pirates...

I buy legit... if you wanna scan of the receipt then i'll post one...
