No blocking sounds from large shields

Been levelling up a pally and thought he was really gimpy because he didnt block at all. However on reading throught the logs it appears that he blocks alot. The trouble is when he blocks theres no satisfying thud sound. The parry sound works. Anybody else had this problem? Ive tried reinstalling but nothing.

I noticed this when playing my ickle Thane. I get the parry sound, but not the block. Not too much of a problem as I'm not high enougfh to get a reactive style off a block yet, but it could be a problem later.

I do seem to get the block sound from my Healer's shield, though, so it might be an intermittent problem (the Thane is on my second account, so that might be a factor).

It might be worth checking your error log - if the sound effect isn't being loaded properly it might report it there, in which case you might fix it with a full file-check.

must get round to deleting this profile and sticking to one


anyway just tried a standar large shield and the sounds are there - seems the sounds are only missing when you use the large wooden SI ones.

I sometimes have it but i don't worry nor should u, sometimes its because u hit and block at the same time as they hit u!

I wouldnt say im worried about it - but it isnt a case of sometimes, with the SI shields its all the time.
