Ninty 64 advice

Ello :)

Just bought myself a 2nd hand N64 with some games and the expansion pack for a reasonable price. Had a SNES loved it to death but skipped to DC rather than N64 and always regretted not having one...

Anyway I'm just wondering if you could recommend any "must-have" games or other kit for it?

This is what I got with it:

Mario 64
Zelda Ocarina of Time
Goldeneye
Perfect Dark
WWF something or other
Pokemon Stadium
Donkey Kong 64

I realise I've got a few mint games there as well as a couple of duffers maybe (WWF? not my bag).

I absolutely love RPG's and shooters but will play just about any game type.

Cheers

I was in *exactly* the same situation as you Xtro in that I went straight from PSOne to DC.

Anyway - about 6 months ago I went on a buying spree on eBay and now have:

N64
Expansion Pak
Jolt Pak
2 x pads
Zelda Majora's Mask
Zelda Ocarina of Time
Mario 64
Mario Kart 64
Mario Golf
Mario Tennis
Goldeneye
Perfect Dark
Jet Force Gemini
Yoshis Story
Excitebike 64
Lylat Wars
1080 Snowboarding
Mischief Makers
Diddy Kong Racing
Turok Rage Wars
Conkers Bad Fur Day
Pokemon Snap
Pokemon Puzzle League
Donkey Kong 64

and ..........

Sin & Punishment - with Jap converter.

Hardly play it though - infact half the games are still sealed. ;)

Never released outside Japan - which is why I had to buy a converter for mine. :p

Don't waste your time with Mario Kart, the SNES version is _so_ much better :/

I agree with Meg that the SNES (and indeed the GBA) version was much better.

Still worth having on N64 though.;)

I still found the N64 version very good, even if Rainbow Road was utter shit.

It was good but not quite the *classic* it should have been.

Fingers crossed for the CUBE version.

N64 version was a huge disappointment tbh, tbh. Bought with N64, completed within 2 hours, multiplayer limited fun due to shit levels. I won't ever see what the attraction of it is.

The GameCube version so needs to be online playable or Nintendo will once again be letting opportunity just slide on by..... but then thats not unusual is it.

I found the levels not too bad, although some were just silly, like Rainbow Road. The level was the last one in the original because it was damn difficult as it had no side rails yet on the N64 version it had rails and was just plane boring driving round.

Diddy Kong Racing was sooo much better

I'm currently playing mario party 3 :) don't knock it until you try it.

Overated games were imo Blast Corps , Jet Force Gemini , Donkey Kong 64, Banjo Twooie.

some of rainbow road didn't have side emb matey, i quite like it but battle on the snes one rocked. tho 4 player on the N64 battle mode with that block level (i forget what it is called!) rocked.

Tho goldeney owns u all for multiplayer, and the 2 zelda games are quality one player stuff, along with mario 64
