Folk,

Thanks

Remember the guy who installed my sky+ box saying he sold them on e-bay from Singapore. So they should do yeah, might need to be chipped though.

Hi Laz

It should work, but check the interface is in English. In Taiwan, we usually use the Japanese version (because Nintendo kind of forget the 1.3b Chinese speaking people when they made their initial localizations), but you cannot change the language.

The US version is usually available internationally from sites like Play Asia and Renshi. You need US games, and an NTSC-compatible TV, but otherwise you're all set.

Kind regards

Jonty

P.S. Health warning: I didn't keep my Wii for long because the games are the usual Nintendo fare. If you like this, if it's for your kids, or if you want to play with your friends/family all the time, then there's no problem. However, the novelty may soon wear off if you lie outside this demographic.

Yup, Amazon.de seems to be a favourite for a lot of people buying at the moment.

We had 4000 units hit the website at 7pm. They lasted less than an hour.

That would be because nintys euro factory or distribution point is in Germany, they get the stock first.

60gb Ps3's and wii's are probably more valuable than gold right now.

It is scary the amount of phone calls I get about 60gb ps3's at work everyday. Sony really misunderstand their target audience in the UK. Ebay is going to be swimming with (grossly overpriced) 60gb ps3's once people realise they are no longer available anywhere.

Weird, can walk into pretty much any store or order from webstores here in sweden and get a Wii or 60gig PS3. Guess our market must be saturated already, or Nintendo are trying to make up for the shitty launch here (something like 5k units for the entire country first few weeks).

Buy them and sell them to the Uk customers via ebay.

You didn't even save me one :(

I did, but you wanted to wait, then other people wanted them so you missed out. Anyway you got one eventually!

Hes right - I bought mine in August but have only played it about 3 times - I just dont like it.

My mates at work who bought one have got em just sitting on the shelf.

Its odd because I liked the idea but the controllers are a bit un-responsive and you have to stay within a short range of the tv. It crashes a fair bit when you switch to menu and the remotes de-synchronise sometimes.

Plus a lot of the games are crud :p

I bought Zelda for Xmas - if it doesnt convert me I'll ebay the lump :p

P.S. Even my kids prefer the PS2 - odd eh?

We just got one from Scan, expensive. But it was for my little sister, so I helped pay for it by throwing in an extra £150. Got delivered a few days after we ordered.

I still play my wii, its good for when people come over as the majority of my 360 games are sp and Wii lends its self to MP.

Though im workin my way through Super Paper Mario at the mo and finding it brillant. They still need to bring out a decent FPS but I hear Metroid 3 is quite good.

Medal of honor: heroes 2 is out in USA. 32 player online servers, meant to be a great control system. Releases in EU in Jan i think.

my brother got one today, seems pretty good, he got wario, zelda and mario galaxies.. the sports/wario mini game are pretty good fun with ya mates, good entertainment! mario galaxies seems awesome too, though nothing i played on it 'drew' me into it.. for instance, halo 3 with my mate was pretty addictive, played for hours and hours in a row, same with guitar hero 3.. i think it was worth getting though, it's coolio
