Nightmre problems - Account invalid and so forth

Last night playing daoc happily... i went LD. Nothing new there... i went to re-connect to the itnerent... then loaded up daoc... and the loader crashes.. hmm i think. so i reboot my computer.. connect to the internet.. load up daoc... and apparently i need to update my game.. so i then download an 11mb patch i know nothing about and then i try to conenct and it is now saying, account or password incorrect.
I am now starting to get really annoyed. At first i thaught about e-mailing mythic but realising they are completely useless i knew this would be a waste of time.
So i am begging you good people. What is wrong ? What do i do ? I can no longer connect to daoc even tho my account and password are still valid.

basically, your patcher couldn't connect to the GOA servers (after the LD) so it (stupidly) connects to the US servers.

That 11meg patch has patched you to the US servers and now, when you login, it checks your login against the US ones. Since your account is an EU one it doesn't exist, hence "account invalid".

All you need to do is get the update.dat off an EU player, copy it over your one, and repatch back to the EU servers.

To save you some time
Open your update.dat in word and paste the following into it having removed the Mythic US patch server info.
