I am think of getting an nForce/Duron motherboard combo for the kid's PC, basically it needs a new CPU (433Mhz Celeron), a new motherboard (Abit BX6v2) and a new video card (TNT2 Ultra).

Anyone used one, what's the graphics performance like ?

They come with a GF2 chip so the graphics will be average although should be enough for a kids PC...........Bob The Builder will be fine ;)

Yeah expect about 22fps in Q3 maxed out though :(
Good thing is they come with AGP slots, so you can easily upgrade l8r on

:)

The older kid may well be playing Q3, UT or AvP2, but I'm not looking for that much performance.

Can someone confirm, the nForce 415D chipset is the one without integrated graphics (I want to make sure).

i'd recommend the MSI nForce mobo, it's got all the normal niceties and a LOAD of USB (6 ports or something!)...
