Hmm, I feel a new PC coming on. Wonder if it will actually beat the KT266A chipset tho ?

Ain't there a Hardware Forum for this ? :)

Nforce in X-BOX2

Just heard MS are gonna use nforce in x-box2, as well as gforce with media player 8.0, it will be fixed box, with no upgrades possible.

BARGAIN :E

They're thinking of calling it the "HOME STATION":D

Er perhaps people should realise that such stuff is unlikely since the first xbox isn't even out yet and tbh future technology is likely to be more powerful.

It includes all that instruction set nonsense, and data pre-fetching. Pretty similar to the P4, but more instructions per clock cycle (slower frequency, but same power), with a shorter pipe-line. What else do you expect from a CPU?

perhaps, xbox2 is a bit misleading, the "home station" will probably be as powerful, but more of a PC than XBOX will be.

Its also undoubtedly resting on the success of the X-Box, which is probably the least (to my knowledge) covered 'next-gen' console in the make/out (DC, PS2, Gamecube, Xbox) - so any second generation console from microsoft is clearly speculation.

Gamecube for me thanks...sticks to being a console ;)

The gamecube is going to have some of the most blood thirsty adult games ever, APPARENTLY

must say I was getting a bit old for some of ninty's games.

Perfect Dark wasn't rated 18 for nothing :(

 Homestation is going to be backwardly compatible with the "OLD" X-BOX

That'll be useful for my old x-box games which I'm bored of already ;)
