The nForce is shit, end of discussion. Who cares if it's 8x AGP? it's a fucking gf2MX. dated, ancient, and lowest product on the Nvidia product ladder.

Dual memory controllers? Would be good if the AMD processor could actually use that much memory bandwidth

This is in spite of the fact that the 420-D has twice the theoretical memory bandwidth of the KT266A. The explanation is obvious and not too shocking; the Athlon is limited by its FSB in that the IGP can only get 2.1GB/s of data to it at any given time so having 4.2GB/s of memory bandwidth isn't all that useful.

Free LAN card? whoppee. Free sound card? Again, I can not contain my joy

u don't have to use the onboard gfx

dual channel is only really useful if u are using the onboard gfx so who cares ?

the onboard sound is top notch (better than most cards) and onboard lan saves u 20 quid or so.

It's nVidia. AMD is just the chip they currently have a license to run it with

Anyway. I took the heatsink off a P4 and then chucked it in the river and I lost it just as easily as the Athlon !
