I have an nforce motherboard and use the nforce drivers. I have 2 problems at present. When I boot up the computer hangs on win 98SE. I have to start in safe mode - restart and then it works.

The second problem is even weirder - I have a Karna Razer Boomslang 2000 and the drivers were fine before this nforce jobbie - now when i play op flashpoint or jimmy whites cueball the game starts and the mouse works - as soon as the game starts and it my shot the keyboard and mouse no longer work - the keyboard is PS/2 not USB. When i quit and go back to windows my mouse dont work. Its like the USB is switched off.

Anyone got any ideas.

mobo is MICROSTAR MS-6373
nforce drivers are UDP 1.0
O/s 98 SE
mouse Karna Boomslang

thanks

Sounds like a power issue... Odd I know but it's happened before

can you post a complete detailed spec of your system?

In answer to first question yes I did a complete install, brand new HD formatted and installed the mobo and then the PCI cards one by one. There are no indications that there is a problem with conflicts in device manager.

The situation with the mouse locking up DOES not happen with Q3, this seems to be the only thing it does not affect???
