Can't say I have any complaints at the moment, in any case its more interesting than sitting around the PK for half an hour trying to setup a 'perfect' group before running out to get steamrolled by a bunch of RR11 RvR guild-types.

Atleast thats the sum of my RvR experience, I can count the number of 'fun' experiences i've had in RvR on one hand. Maybe NF won't be much different, maybe it will. But if i'm forced to make a choice between Pre and Post NF i'd have to go with Post simply because it looks more interesting for me (as sombody who doesn't have a 2nd account, and doesn't Plvl his toons in Moderna)

I believe that once NF goes "live" it will end up with Elite guilds and the high alb population owning the day. Check some of the other threads on the US boards it gives you a taste of what is to come in Europe. The time of the casual player is almost over. Do some reserch and see what you find.

I certainly hope I'm wrong.

I fail to see how NF can be boring, slow or even makes people consider quitting, it brought alot more aspects to rvr, more advanced siege weapons, no milegates, but bridges now WHICH you can just go around, instead of having a milegate blocking the way.

No more room camping, no more pk camping, no more waiting for wizards to go on the pad, can easily get an overview of where the action is.

most issues with alb zerg get fixed in 1.71 by not allowing high population realms to keep relcis in the relic keeps.

ALl that nf does is open up the whole playing field so that groups of randoms can actually compete without having to spend 5 mins running into emain /release.

Now its proper RVR not 8fg vs 8fg (+ buffbots at portal keep) from what ive played its fun its fast and i dont even mind dying in of its slow its anoying and i do mind dying because it just took me 5 mins to get where i was going.

NF takes me a min at the most to get to the action and if i die i dont midn /release return or go somewhere else.

If the gank squads / elitists dont like it then i wont stop them from leaving but basically now the time is for the unwanted classes to have fun the people who would spend hours screaming LFG without getting a group.

making realm points is easy now which means everyone wins the gank squads get more rps and the randoms get rps (even if they are dead) keep seigeing is important but im sure if your clever you can find good fights around bridges or bottlenecks or the maze or 1000's of other spots.

ON release yes alb zerg / mid zerg /hib zerg will be obvious i suspect at least 50% of the population from each realm will hit frontiers even if they arnt mled or artied up to the arse. It will be one glorious zerg fest with guilds running out to claim keeps towers and all sorts to ensure they hit lvl 10 the quickest :)

NF is actually rather fun, if you die you dont get frustrated, you never going to miss an port again etc. which makes the game even more fun. And ye, will prolly be a big zergfest at release but will calm down later on when people seen NF and go back to thiere ML/Arti grinding :)

It's going to take a long time to take upgraded keeps and you can expect huge seiges... until a high RR group runs in and farms the attackers > attackers go back > attackers get farmed > attackers logout = dead frontier

hmm, I've seen this movie before :p

NF would be cool (least imo) if it was like the beta, just spend 5 minutes getting some good armour from a box, then charge DF! does no 1 else feel like the huge DF zerg vs zerg with no clear tactics etc seem fun? i also wish there was a rr5 ability where the class gets to an AMAZING dance.

last time I checked Gorre, bout 1am this morning, Albs & hibs were still fighting over lefthand side DC bridge, been like that for 3/4 days

Same thing, different scene, happens to any realm thats all.

I've been having alot of fun, able to solo alot easier then the current, run around between enemy teleport keep and a big fight, kill those traveling passed.

Fight at DC been going for days tho, but maybe because its getting fueled with new lvl50 chars 24/7?

I missed milegates where I'd find a fight like 80% of the time, but their just like bridges really, only more of em, tho your able to swim around etc, altho thats kinda slow on the movement speed.

Slow? I don't understand why people say that, finding it alot more fast paced, like no pad to afk on waiting for gothi, visur etc.

RvR still same imo, been same since game came out? like port somewhere, kill a few then get zerged, same as current frontiers and new, just you get back to fighting without waiting.

Thinking of giving my scout a rest, trying a non stealther for once, been alot of fun trying diff classes without pve grind to find out what their like.

I think at the end of the day, some people don't like change or whine for the sake of it tbh.

tis same regardless what realm you are playing. its nowhere near as bad as i 'assumed' it would be, in fact i've quite enjoyed it :) (time to learn how to use seige properly :D)

Oh no, The yanks said this and that. They must be right. They are always right! Right?
Silly sarcasm aside, I belive that US and EU playerstyle differs way to much to be compared.

yeah i've played both sides. and it's been fun ... each side pusing the other back .. then getting pushed back .

also played it from mid side too .. trying to jump peeps just arriving =)

as for the whole Doom and gloom thing, nahh it will be alot of fun.

however the only downside i can see is the lower RR n00blinger like my scout
getting raped over and over :(

Worrying about what might happen or what might not happen doesn't change anything at all.

Reduce your stress levels a bit and just have what fun you can when it gets here and if it aint fun what have you lost?

Some of you guys are taking years off your lives worrying about the future instead of just planning for it.

plus reading VNboards should be taken lightly as it only represents a small % of the player base and most only whine :p, best option is try it yourself when it goes Live and make your own mind up, i have spoken to a number of people on the US servers some are casual and enjoy it a lot more since 1.70 some hate it and been saying they going to quit for the past 6 months :)

what ever way you think you have 2 choices adapt or quit but do it from your own assesment not someones elses:wij:

NF gives RvR back to the masses, that is a good thing even if it means more zerging in the short term. The game was dying a slow death as it was, daily RvR was pretty much limited to a few hundred people on Prydwen because the opted full groups just ran over the 'randoms' and hammered them every time they left the portal keep. RvR will be alive and well again once NF goes live.

Omg like 20 posts in that thread?

There's close to 3000 players on lancelot at primetime. I've been playing mid/lancelot lately and have to say im having fun in rvr. Still openfield rvr here and if you want to start rp farming, take a tower/keep and farm albs.

RvR is what you make of it. Don't start crying before you even get it on english servers. :p

Couldn't agree more really. Reminds me of the earlier beta days of counter-strike. Every time a new patch was released, 's like QQ OMG LOL WTF I'M LEAVING!

(Personally I love the "See you in WoW" quote)
