Newest version of RA3 wonb't let me play

I just bought Q3A in the gold edition Q3/Team Arena boxed set. I downloaded and installed the 1.5 version of RA3. However, everytime I jump into a server, i play for about 10 seconds then I get a yellow UPGRADE NOW message. What do i do?

I've not heard about or seen this gold edition, but assuming it's not 1.30 and your running under windows, download and install this.
To check if it is this that is the problem, load q3 and bring down the console (key next to 1 and above TAB) and you should see the q3 version you are using in the bottom right of the window that just came down. It may be 1.27g or 1.17 or summin like that. If it aint 1.30, upgrade with that file above.
In the future you may have some probs with servers which have maps or mods which you do not. You can make it easier for yourself to determine what files it is you are missing by typing at the aforementioned console

cl_allowdownloads 1

This will download files from the server which you need. If it aint a big file, let it do it, but if it is, take note of the file name, disconnect and go look around for it here

No it is 1.3. I've used the check for upgrades and looked at the readme to make sure.

Upgrade the client release

The file I think you might need is ra315clup.exe,
I grabbed it from ftp.barrysworld.com/pub/games/quake3/mods/rocketarena3

It should be able to get it sorted after that me thinks..

Or on second thoughts,is this the file you use to upgrade prior releases???

Try Point Release 1.29 first!

Since most of the mods to date are up to 1.29, I would suggest you try this one first. This will eliminate possible complications caused by point release 1.30.
