The aim was to capture images that would swing public opinion behind the war here and in the US and encourage Iraqis to believe Saddam's grip had loosened before it actually had.

All they need now is the American [iraqi] information minister p) to spin it and say "That Hospital was full of terrorists, they were all hiding in cupboards really!"

Of course, the reason all this is now thought untrue is because the iraqis say it's propaganda.
Safest thing to do is trust none of it and just don't judge huge political events on stories of a single person :>

Somehow I find it easier to belive the doctors (independent source) over military information sources (propaganda).

Trusting no one is a bit hard (and paranoid?) to do... I'd rather just skeptically consider the sources. And between the propaganda of opposing sides try to find a grain of truth.
