When I installed mine, I didn't get the normal choose dma mode, or turbo etc, it just installed the 3 thing me jigs. Proceeded to install and was already on 100 %, finished, and then rebooted. weider still, the via unzipped directory only had 1 file "is_del" when it should have all the files, that was there before, in case you want to un-install it.

Anyway I can check it installed properly?

Generally if you've not got any problems then don't install them unless you need a certain new feature, although you've got nothing to lose if you are having problems.

what does the INF file do? Is it worth the update.
Haven't got agp8x anyway, and the way things are going never will
so don't need the updated agp driver.

Depending what you say emb. I might un-install it & go back to v4.40
