New to Q2 need Multiplayer Help

I recently got Q2 and i cant play baseq2 on servers!?!! it says something like
couldnt launch pics/colormap.pcx

and i have d/led the new patch....
it still won't work...
right now...im re-installing quake 2

Ok...now...that error doesnt come up but i new one does!?!?!
It says Cannot Open C:\quake2\quake2.exe +connect to theserveripaddress

are you using gamespy to launch Q2? If not, i'd recommend it, makes life much easier!

No...well i am sometimes but i fixed my problem a lil while ago! Hehe...seems like i just had to change the .exe filename hehe
very easy! yay! lol
