Old news that Christian Bale has signed up for the Terminator 4 playing the part of John Conner. He is also signed up to a new Robin Hood movie which will be mor factually correct, him being a thief and sun not shinning out of his rear! Latest news is that Terminator 4 will be the first of three new films in the series.

Took my 8 yr old to Kung Fu Panda at the weekend, very funny film and glad I went to see it.

If they at least could stay with the same actors as the series / old movies or whatever. But if its in a different timeline its hard i guess.

You think Arnie's up for another, I thought he'd retired at last. Plus John Conner's only been a kid so far in the movies

Looking forward to them myself, I think Bale is a good choice.

Watched the TV series yesterday, Summer Glau is excellent in it.

I thought the new Robin Hood didnt have Robin cast yet ? Scott has Russell Crowe as the Sherrif, Sienna Miller as Marion. The "galdiator" version of robin hood, and not-such-a-good-guy apparently !

In the paper this morning that Bale signed for it. Crowe as the good sherif and Bale and the nasty theif.

Alan Rickman made a great Sheriff in the last remake. Pity they cut his part back after the preview showings. In which people were booing Kostner and cheering Rickman, lol.

Only worrying thing about the Terminator movie is the director 'McG' or something like that. A Music Video director in US. Totally unproven. Big film to let a noob at imo. Still, Ridley Scott used to make TV adverts so I guess they all start somewhere.

To bad Arnold made it to politics (thou he did that well) he really was the shine of the movies, especially Terminator 2 holds a big spot in my heart.
Robert Patrick did really well to, as the T-1000 in nr 2 :)

Thou Bale has showed some good acting, so lets hope he can keep the spirit alive.

so his crap acting in an ancient movie is all that matters? Imo he fine, i know hes no brilliant actor, but compared to the usual bad guy/god guy in action movies, i like him alot. Its just a part of his charme that his english got a tuch of german.

I loved Arnie's action movies, particularly

Commando
Terminator
T2
Raw Deal
Predator
Total Recall
True Lies
End of Days

Who cares about his accent and wooden acting. Your average action movie nut wants violence, spills, thrills, explosions, guns that don't run out of ammo (any of you lot seen a John Woo movie ?), a hero who can punch a hole through a concrete wall, a sprinkling of humour, a high body count, some female nudity thrown in, and the usual cheezy one-liners. Bung a monster in or a crazed mafia boss and you've got a winning recipe.

erm... Biehn played Kyle Reese the father of John Connor.... :)

You know what I meant. OK let me clarify. The bloke actor in T3 was shite. The kid in T2 was better than him.

He wont be doing Shakespeare any time soon but he fits his roles perfectly, well his 80s films anyway. Total Recall, Commando, predictor, Terminator, Conan etc

You just know anything after T3 is a waste of space. Just capitalising on the franchise. Hollywood just don't know when to stop after a good thing.

I think the Die Hards and Lethal Weapons have reached their zenith. No more please.

2 Predators was enough. I think we all agree AVP sucked donkey balls.

3 Star Wars movies. Apart from the Darth Maul fight sequence in the 4th movie (that fight sequence needed another 8 mins at least added onto it) all the new star wars movies shouldn't have been made.

3 LOTR movies. The Hobbit will be shite if its going to be made into 2 films.

3 Indiana Jones movies. The 4th was fucking awful.

Fawlty Towers. 12 episodes of pure genius. They knew when to stop.
4 series of Blackadder. Again, everything after was pants
3 series of Bottom. Apart from the first live show, everything after was shite.

If you read the website regarding the next Terminator movie. Arnie is only to get a small cameo in it according to the director.

He improved his acting alot since then. In Twins he was not bad at all. Total Recal and Running Man were also pretty good in their genre. At least he knew his limitations. Unlike Stallone, who pretty much tried everything and made some real turkeys. You were never going to see him in a period drama.

4 series of Blackadder.

Of which the fourth was the best written and funniest by far.

Terminator has such a good storyline if its done right it could be amazing. We know from previous films that John Conner is captured and inturned in a human work camp. Escapes and then forms the human resistance against the machines. With current CGI capabilities this series of three films could be the best yet. I just hope they keep a cohesive storyline and not another Matrix type fiasco.
