New Syndicate

As some of you have known for awhile now they're on making a new Syndicate game, given its FPS (original games were top down) it has alot of potential to be a great 4 player co-op game.

For those of you not familiar with Syndicate i've used a few minutes of my time hunting some videos that should paint a clearer picture. (Bare in mind this is from 1993+)

one of my fav games of all time i loved it, i loved how they managed to throw some management into it as well with the research, gluon gun anyone

it was also rather hard in some parts. very cool game the market is just ripe for this, to make a remake as coop seems to be the in thing atm.

Yep, the only thing i'm worried about now is the fact it'll be FPS which may or may not be a bad thing.

I also sort of disagree with the FPS comments. I actually prefer the FPS viewpoint for pretty much every game, I find it much more immersive. Shooters, RPGs etc.

isometric games rarely translate well to 3d but im gonna keep my eye on this and see what it fetches personally i think it could offer a fantastic multiplayer experience and tbh this would have made a great mmo. thinking along the lines of eve but groundbased

Apparently Paradox are working on a proper sequel, called Cartel. Hopefully it will be good!

I absolutely loved syndicate, awesome game and I hope they do it justice. Another similar top down I loved was Abomination, that would make a great team play fps.

fm that looks good... tho it doesnt seem to have the freedom of the old games judging by that video :/ which is a bad thing, if its "go here on this set path" then it'll be your typical fps like call of duty.

The rumour that they have been working on it has been doing the rounds for a couple of year now. So while it undoubtabley will have some influence from deus ex, its not likely going to be a carbon copy (And how can you copy shit from the same genre?)

Future, tech, cyborgs and implants, big guns and agents wielding them. Both stole the shit from Cyberpunk anyway

The trailer looks like a more interesting shooter then deus ex though, atleast it LOOKS like that. Will have to see.

Now THAT I am interested in! A true spiritual successor, rather than an attempt to use an old but still reasonably popular IP to market Yet Another Generic First Person Shooter
