BG !!!is!! RvR, just as much as emain or keep raids or relic raids......we dont need anymore forums, if you see BG in the title, dont read it if it bugs you, its not spamming, its people who havent done the treadmill to 50 telling their peers about their glorious stories or niggles about bg.

bg aint real rvr its pure service for rpfarming for the lowbies who is eager to try rvr and actually stand a chance before 40+.
I earned my rr2 as lvl 30ish in gorge. I have nothing against the BG's, but its NOT real rvr imo.

Battles in the battleground have no consequence on the realm really imo.
Just give lowbies some slight experience of RvR, and gives them RPs.
But I agree, I think if you are in the BGs, you might also like your battleground threads easier to find in its own section?
I just want the non-BG RvR easier to find also.
Or, if all BG topics started with

ps: BGs aint real rvr, just lowb training (remember u CANT keep using them after reaching rr1L9, so altho u stop ur exping u wont be able to stay at BGs for long)

BG's are real rvr in bg's people can do ANYTHING in bg that you can do in Emain etc etc except relic raids . yea sure it might be a trainig ground in some aspects but end of the day its still mid/hib/alb all vs each other and ability to take keeps .. hib vs mid vs alb = REALM vs REALM so it is RVR

But BG's have no consequence on anything in RvR (Realm vs Realm)
It's like another dimension where nothing you do matters really.
Sure, you have fun, get some RPs, but err.. they don't matter.

most skirmishes and in fact before darkness falls, most keep takes have as much effect on the game, or the realms as BG rvr = nothing.
the only time i see realm affecting RvR is if a forward keep is taken as a staging point for a relic raid, and the relic raid itself.
other than that, emain, odins, hadrians, bgs, rp farming, small skirmishes, ganking, tk camping, big battles, 1 on1 , are ALL RVR. and have little effect on the game in a stats based way - e.g as relic ownership does.
there is no distinction, ur arguing words.

Most of the threads relating to the BG's have a subject line that clearly indicates that the thread is about a BG issue.
If you don't want to read them then don't.
I think this forum is the best place for them to be and can see no point in creating a subforum, cause the BG stuff is as much RvR as anything in emain etc...

Just because people go to BG for a keeptake/defense, doesn't make it of any consequence.
It affects nothing.
Sure, it might matter to the people who go along, but to anyone who doesn't go to the BGs, it matters little.
Take one keep outside in the frontiers, and that realm who has just lost a keep, loses one uber guard on its relic keeps.
This is significant.
Take a keep, and you can take the relic faster.
Take a relic, and the entire realm gains bonuses to frontier combat.
Whereas events that happen in the frontiers can always have an effect, perhaps in a few days, some even in a few weeks, events in the BGs, can not have such a prolonged effect.
eg, sending 40 mid level hibs to emain to maintain the illusion of hibs still in the realm, while we are really bashing on the excalibur doors.
Regardless, it's pretty clear cut, you can remain with your opinion if you wish.

but there ARE side effects for Emain in the BG..
you're now getting ppl entering Emain at 40-45 who already had their share of practice. both in skirmishes as in keep taking.

No it isn't. Who bothers to take keeps (and warning ur target that ur in their realm) before going for a Relic ?

No more of less important than the BG. If you want to distract peoples attention get all the people in a BG who have no alts to attack a keep. The other realms will defend with many people logging alts in taking some nice high lvls out of 'real' RvR. No differant really to what ur talking about.
The only thing significant in RvR is Relics and if the only posts were about that it would at least cut the posts down here.
