New siege idea - Tanks read this one!! :)

Ok this one might take some explaining.Was just chatting in guild today and i had a damn good idea if i do say so myself. Three words for you...

Moveable
Seige
Towers

Yes im talking full on siege towers that move e.g LOTR:ROTK style, packed with tanks ready to storm onto the battlements.Why not have them on seige merchys too?Imagine the wall of tanks spilling out of it howling for blood - mostly mythic's - but blood nonetheless...

This could restore tanks to being something other than siege carriers in NF! :) Someone forward this to a mythic team leader if it hasnt been already. Bet someone thought of it beforehand though :(

Yes, been talked about quite abit on vnboards actually.
But a good idea nonetheless. I´m quite sure Mythic has had the idea brought to them.

good idea but there is a slight flaw.
once the towers opened aoe mez (or twf, reaver bomb) would go off and pbaoe's would run in and annilhate all the tanks in the tower.
Trust me i would like this as im a pally but unless theres some way round what i said above it would just be rp farming.

why dont we just let everyone have white horses wich can be built and run next to keeps? after 15 mins the keepguards would go out and get em in.
then they need to wait for the next night and they could climb out..


i think its very original. :)

Its a valid idea though - yes it has flaws and dangers but it means that a tank storm could be quite frigthening. And remember while they're holding off the tanks they cant hold off the stealthers/casters/counterbattery as much. Means tanks have sommat to do now other than sit at the back using trebs etc wishing they were archers/assassins/casters/anything else...

dont get me wrong. i would love it. Siegewreck the tower, place dotmine, vanish, leech rps :D

falling dmg would take the arpees, tho u would get the rp faster :D

well dont forget soon pbaoe wont work through keep walls + doors so same should apply to this if it was introduced to prevent the rp farming like that. fingures crossed mythic acturly do stop the pbaoe then i might last longer on a keep take. fireing a treb is soo boaring as a tank ...........

yes keep fights should be about FIGHTING, not shooting each other and rezzing. Also the interior part of the keep should be bigger, so ppl couldnt shoot each other from (xpect near - under) the center tower.

was surposed to be done when NF went live but gues what just like 99% of things mythic promisse they never do it on time or at all.

Siegewrecker and Poisonspike on same timer. Would have to be a very long fall for Poisonspike to be up by the time they land. :m00:

As a stealther, I can surely tell you this (from victims trying to escape): People do not decrease in RP worth by falling damage, even if they die by falling, you get full RP reward!
