and as a double bonus, ranged buffs too, for reduced buff bot play

but a nice idea, and I would without doubt play there myself if we got one in eu, unless its with catacombs?

dont see the reason why classes with selfbuffs (vampiir) could be justified on such server

You people aren't considering some things. Unless mythic figures to fix couple things it's gonna suck due NF:

Firstly, 2 bard groups (That hibs can run easily) 2x SoS and no Speedwarp vs Mids with 2 Skalds (Not gimped totally, but 1 Skald +1 Berz > that) or Albs with 2 Mincers ... Also hooray for Eld RR5's. I'd say that hibs (if any casters) run at least 1 Light Eld due to NS availability.

Secondly, Mid buffs since Endo already sucks up at least 3 if you run tanks (And casters/support can't kite then) whereas Albs and Hibs are going to run 2 Clr / 2 Druid anyways (Ok, Maybe no Nat but it's not so terrible). 2 Shamans is a waste vs 1 Shaman +1 Damagedealer.

And tons and tons of similiar issues.

Takes about 30 mins to make this server type working (remove some zones, and some port locations). And yes, people will decide, that it is easier to get battler on a normal server than some sidi drops on this one and migrate back to normal servers.

Vamps won't be such a problem, there'll be more guild groups out than vampiirs

The biggest attraction of the server is for rvr groups. Now it's easier to get your group up and running without all the ToA shit and without buffbots, rvr becomes that much more accessable to the average player.

Well done to Mythic for taking such a big step, I didn't think they would!

I joined alot of sidi raids... and they were 100% preferable to anything in ToA.

Seriously, you go afk in ToA for 5mins and you're likely to miss credit or some crap.
Sidi = afk for 5hours and roll at the end

Besides, Sidi items weren't crucial for rvr templates.

no toa is of rox, then no ranged buffs meens no buffed stealthadds, only unbuffed gimps if they roll one, these servers can be the b0x r0x for full groups.

yeh that was the best thing, even tho there would be some better than you, you could wear epic armour and still be alright in rvr, whereas epic is essentially noob gear now

in the long run ppl would get sc'd gear together, but it was no where near completely essential to being able to fight effectively, and thats what ppl would really like, not all this fucking camping arti's and spending endless hours on ml's and stuff

It will be waste of time and resources only if Mythic doesn't put enough time and resources in it For example RAs are one thing that has to be completely redone for these servers so Mythic better hire new team or something If they just remove ToA and keep on patching like other servers then indeed, it will be waste of time and servers will be dead in few months. If they actually put enough work on it players will be given ability to transfer their ToAed characters to one of the three ToA-servers while the rest of servers will be changed to non-ToA </

If I hadn't already rolled to US-servers I would do it now

Best news I've seen in ages! I basically quit due to having 5 level 50s I had no chance of keeping all of them up to ToA standards to RvR with all of them and now that restriction is gone.

If anyone wants to form a guild over on one of these two servers I'd be happy to get a US copy of the game and we'll go play DaoC in the way I've always felt the game *should* be played! Personally I'd like to play Mid with a Pac/Mend healer since I've never played Mid to anything past 43 with my BD on Camlann and I've not played Mid at all on an RvR server. Open to offers on realm/classes etc. but the idea seems sound enough to me

At least with the /level 20 command removed there's no penalty for us Euro players not having a 50 already. Also it's pointless having two accounts which keeps the price down too And, most importantly, getting a decent Euro guild out there means we can settle the whole "US players are better than Euro players in RvR" thing hehe!

Anyhow if anyone's keen just PM me here and we'll see how much interest we get and go from there maybe?

Yea coz vamps are gonna fight loads of champs and friars can kill vamps without toa...lol.

This sounds great(as most things ppl think they want) but its gonna bite...most reasons have been mentioned already..gonna be FG heaven(at least for a while) but I doubt it'll last..and wont SB/hunters have a great time now! lol....nice planning mythic.

firers have baselines, vamps are essentially fully buffed all the time (including specs) and have self haste. Sorry a friar with baselines would get torn apart by a vamp.

Friars have baselines - but also spec dex/qui, spec-AF, haste-shout. All they 'need' is a str/con-buff to be the same as now.

Friars will do very well against Vampiirs in that server. Vamp has a weapon the friar is resistant to, where the friar has a crush weapon which will hurt on the Vampiir.
