New server hardware is not granted

I have asked GOA about timetable updating Exc hardware.
They answered that "it is under investigation".

This made me wonder whether they are going to upgrade at all. So I asked if they are investigating timetable or need for upgrade. This question they answered:
"The upgarde factor is still under investigation."

I guess that when more popular French and German servers were upgraded they lost interest in this matter

GOA are probably very aware of the fact (?) that DAoC will die come this fall, as all the new MMORPGs hit the market then.
Because of this its not surprising that they wont spend any money on us =/
At least it seems like most people can hardly wait to leave DAoC for one of the new games like SWG or WoW.

Daoc will not die. Some ppl like to play medieval MMORGs instead of a spacemovie. And to be honest WoW looks nice, but it looks more like a Donald Duck movie my son likes to watch.

Yes, never play on a GOA server again, play US servers only (for better support and faster with pathes and cheaper).

Did we know this already?

Yes, but we had such high hopes and everybody can make this mistake ones. Now we are just waiting for WoW so we can leave DAoC asap.

Yeah well actually GOA bragged about how they have allready purchased the hardware. I guess they just keep it in storage or forgot to mention they only bought hardware for non-english servers.

And where exactly did you hear/read that ?

Afaik Blizzard is running all of their servers themself. Blizzard is a company that rather wait with releases or even cancels them if they're not satisfied with the results. So thinking Blizzard would choose GOA for servers sounds a little unrealistic in my ears..

And its not 1 server... My guess is that each real zone is at least 1 server and possibly more... So your not talking about 1 new server but rather per 'server' about 5... (zone being all of albion main land, all of midgard mainland, all of albion si-mainland)

The fact that this is 'true' comes from seeing how a server crashes...
