New RAM

Hey guys,

I play daoc completely on a laptop, its my baby:

Intel p4 3.0ghz (ht) 2992mhz
80gig HDD
512 RAM (2x256) (DDR2 PC2-3200)
ATI mobility radeon x600 128mb gfx

Now im petrified ill get the wrong ram and it will all melt can anyone point me to somewhere i can get from 1-2gigs for under £100 is really my budget!

I'd suggest you visit http://www.crucial.com/uk/ and use their memory adviser tool to find out exactly what type of memory you need, then shop around for it.

I did the wizard got these:
DDR2 PC2-4200 • CL=4 • UNBUFFERED • NON-ECC • DDR2-533 • 1.8V • 128Meg x 64

is that one up there compatable and any good, would get a couple of thsoe for the 2gig in my laptop

1-2gig for under 100, doubt it if its ddr2 sodimm.

also, your existing sticks of 256 are useless, you have two slots in that laptop so you would require 2 x 1gb sticks to make 2gb or 2 x 512 to make it 1gb.

You'll be lucky if you can get that for under 100quid my ram costs like £400 for a gig :'(

ati if you know the make/model of your laptop it should be fairly easy to find what ram it supports, can check it for you if u know what one it is.
