Well, i would count as a new quake player if:

Quakeworld ran in software
Quakeworld ran in GL (some highly weird messages about wrong colour pallette)
I had a better mouse (come back usb, all is forgiven)
Ah well, as soon as this list of problems gets sorted i should be playing again. Just gotta sort out my ping, bit laggy, but my skill sometimes shines through!

eathangle you wana delete opengl32.dll from quake dir, worked for me, i think its that file, if not read one of the read me's :/

well, software still doesn't work

and rocky is on...

Only delete that file if you have a NON 3DFX card. The 3DFX cards need that minidriver.
