Because I can't be bothered to cut and paste:

How's that for prices? Have I forgotten anything vital? Should I change anything? Advice please!

For the record, I've already got a soundcard, network card, hard drive (only half full, will wait til I need a new one), and monitor I shall buy at a later stage probably. Or now if I find a good deal.

Cheers ladies :)

I've already got two. A cheapish one in my room on this 21" Daewoo telly, and a delicious DAV-S300 downstairs on my Sony Triniton 32" TV :) Seems pointless, tbh. Especially when I'm sat right next to the 21" TV.

ignorant question here = what ones the HDD?

You could checkout the Seagate Barracude 80gb HDD (quietest HDD out) for about £80 (7200 rpm)

Example Here

Bought a 36.7gb (or something) seagate barracuda drive earlier in the year to replace my constantly filling up/emptying 6gb drive. It's half full, so won't bother buying a new one until it's fuller.

It was a pretty mean machine when I first bought it from PC world four years ago, so ner. :)

I'd go for a bit more memory if it was me. 512MB from 256 made a big improvent on my system.

I'd also have gone for a DVD instead of the CD-ROM despite you having a house full of them. The Lite-On DVD is only £35 (£20 more than your CD). I personally wouldn't have spent the extra on an Intel chip over AMD and with the money saved you could have got a Ti4400 instead of a Ti4200 but hey! it's your choice.

Enjoy it fella! :)

That's two sticks of 256mb ram, don't ask me why I chose two instead of one. My mind just works like that :)

I'll look into getting a DVD-ROM at some point, but right now I don't see the need, personally.

As for AMD > Intel, I couldn't care less - it's a great improvement over what I have now and I thought I'd stick faithful to Intel after having a P166 and a Celeron 366 ;)

Only problem is, I'm sat here repeatedly checking if OCUK have processed my order. They haven't :( I'm going away for three days on Wednesday, so I really need it to arrive tomorrow :|

Argh!

Thats no probs, the delivery places usually hold stuff for 5 working days at there depot before returning it. So if it doesn't come before you go away just phone up the number on the card they put through the door as soon as you get back and sort out another delivery date.

So true, tdc :)

I was under the impression the depot charges you for holding your stuff, I'm wrong apparently. Not to worry!

OCUK normally use either Lynx (delivers to a neighbour) or Special Delivery (holds at the sorting office for up to 3 weeks).

Not that I order a lot of stuff from various places.;)

I chose Lynx shipping, and I pray to God they don't leave my stuff with either of my neighbours, they're all fucking shit cunts. I'd be constantly worried they've spilt lager and curry on the parcels, and are sitting watching it seep in and ruin it all. Nnnnnnngh :(
