New PC for DR. Need input.

greetings.
As u all know DR is comming up and my machine is old (since SI) and im thinking of buying a new PC.
i checked the prices and i am aiming for this :

AMD 4500+ dual core
1 GB ram
160 GB disk
nvidia 6500 GT PCi express

need feedback please

for the AMD processor, you would do fine with a 3800. The difference in speed is neglegable really, and you really wouldnt notice it unless you ran a benchmark all the time, and numbers were the only thing that mattered.

Also, its worth waiting a month or so because AMD prices should drop when they bring out their new range.

if you're going for a single core go for a 3700+ with its extra 512 cache

btw whats budget, as it allows people to spec a pc up for you

Get the 7800GT, its worth the £60 extra,
but as said above need a budget really to spec something up
but if there is no budget, here's what im thinking of getting
CPU: amd x2 4400+
Mobo: Sapphire PURE Innovation Gruper Radeon Xpress 200P
Memory: G.Skill 2GB DDR ZX PC3200 (2x1GB) CAS2 Dual Channel Kit
Gfx card: HIS Excalibur ATI Radeon X1900 XT-X 512MB GDDR3
PSU: Seasonic S12 600W Silent ATX2.0

Total: £1160.61

Most likely i will change out the gfx card as £400 is a little steep
GeForce 7800 GT £252.57

(i advise you keep an eye out for a AMD opy as they seem to have higher clock speeds, get the 165 as there is very little difference unless you want to overclock between the 165 and the 170.)

Sorry to mislead you, but AMD Operands, i mean the Dual core versions.
Atm they are rare as water in the sahara to buy so its unlikely you will find someone selling them
