Hi , Im getting some quotes on a nice new PC atm for playin DAOC and its expansions .. Is this system gonna do the biz?

AMD 64 3500+ Processor
2Gb DDR Memory
200Gb Hard Disk
DVD+/- RW
ATi EAX1600GT PCI-E Graphics Card (256MB)
19" TFT Monitor

Apparently this is a v recently released GFX card .... but the main thing is , is this a good enough system to get the most out of the game?

please exscuse my noobishness as im really no PC wiz

Thanks for any comments and advice

Pretty much similar to my setup, and I love it:
  • AMD Athlon 64, San Diego Core, 3700+
  • Asus EAX1800XL PCI-E
  • 2 GB DDR RAM
  • Abit KN8 Ultra
  • Hyundai 19" LCD
  • Logitech G15 Keyboard
  • Logitech MX1000 Mouse
  • Nexus Breeze 400W Case

The setup can run smootly all MMORPGs I play, Wow, EQ2, DAOC. Also Quake IV, Battle of Middle Earth II runs great.

looks decent..

Just some small pointers:
1) Get a 2nd hard drive (20 or 15gb for windows only), a raptor 10k rpm (fast and silent drive.. really worth the money)

2) Get a brand-A power supply unit (for the stable and silent system)

3) never heard of an ATi EAX1600GT PCI-E Graphics Card (256MB). Don't know the price either.. but a 150pound or 200euro card is sufficient for all current games, and decent enough for some upcoming ones

4) make sure that memory is capable for going Dual Channel (just ask/say in pc store).
