Any one know where I can get the drivers in .inf form not self-extracting installer.

I have a oem gf2 shipped with the 12.41 drivers, but I get a wierd problem in cad when the text editing cursor ( I )
is the same colour as the background, so you can't see it . so i thought i'd try the latest drivers (then 23.11) but i just get a black screen when the self-extracting installer, restarts the computer.
thanks

Have you checked out www.driverguide.com ??

I just had a look under the Hitachi Drivers Found Bulletin Board and there is a load of drivers in there for Hitachi Monitors.

Heh heh. This is one of those old huge colour monitors built for Sun and Mac systems, isn't it? It'd explain why there's no x86-based drivers. I'm surprised you got it working at all. I had a similar fixed-frequesny type and spent hours on it before giving up and buying a proper one.

If you've managed to get this working at a specific resolution then be happy. You've got farther than most others.

i have one of thse monitors sitting behind me which works beautifuly at 1024x using an rgb lead (much cleaner picture) connected to the linux box on the ATI card full stop

:)

btw i have the exact specs for this monitor somewhere and as far as i can read, 1024x and 60hz work together just grand.

Yeah but these monitors tend to be uber-cheap for a reason. 20" but only 1024 at 60Hz? I'd rather go back to my 15".

*pat 19" 1600 @ 85Hz*

I have one like that. It sits under my dining table. I value it at £20 these days, if I can find a poor mug who'd take it. :)
