New Laptop choice and videocard

I have the following options :

HP NX7010 - Intel Centrino 1.6, Ati Radeon Mobility 9200, 1Gb ram

or

HP NX9110 - Intel Pentium 4 3.2, Ati Radeon 9000, 1Gb ram

which one is better ?

Without a doubt, has twice the CPU power of the other one and gfx card can easily be replaced on a laptop - the CPU can usually not.

never seen a gfx card that can be replaced on a laptop .. most are sealed and if u open them up u break the warrenty

I sometimes play my bot on a m9000 ati card at 800x600 it works but doesn't look too pretty.

My guess is the 3.2 P4 will be clocked back most of the time due to heat etc .. centrino are the way to go in laptops at the moment it seems.

the p4 will eat your battery fast

if you need to use it a lot without being plugged into the mains then id take the centrino

and thats not enough detail to really make a choice

centrino is supposed to be crap for games iirc more usful for business apps .. if your gaming your likely to be nr a power socket anyway

if he was buying it for gaming only then id have recommended a 2nd desktop which is a lot cheaper than a laptop

usually if you get a laptop you get it for a specific reason :z
