New forums? have your say here

I just posted this in another thread, but I thought I'd better repeat in here and start its own thread as it needs thought and discussion.

TFC/HL is just one suggestion.
Others might be
Recruiting - For Clans and players.
Jokes (BOFH) - The old webboard used to have a lot of this and people we're asking for a new conference just for jokes and BOFH stuff.
Emulators, RobertJ gets a constant stream of emails about emulators and he'd like a forum to move to.
Any others?

I know people are worried about losing the plot on this Board, but I've been away for a few days and came back to huge amounts of posts and some of it isnt relevant to me and I'd like to be able to skip past it at Forum level, rather than at Thread level. Having a better selection of Forums seems to me to be a wise idea.

I could be wrong of course, which is why I'm asking for opinions, rather than just leaping in and setting some up

Better be careful what chans actually get created, things can get out of hand rather quickly, look at newsgroups

Jokes,Clan recruiting yeah why not.

BWCTFL Forum is a must, there have already been BWCTFL posts on the Savage Webboard with replies being 'Fair point but why post it here'.Only makes sense to have one on BarrysWorld.Also to add more for any other BW leagues that may run in the future.

Newbies Forum covering connections / playing tips / where to get xxxx mod/map etc etc.

Rants forum,lets face it Rants get dotted throughout all the other forums so makes sense to stick em all in one place.Could even be funnier than the jokes forum

Hardware forum for all the non modem related posts that usually crop up.

Let yer know if I think of anymore...

P.S. The Private Clan Forums, are they by invitation only or can any clan that is hosted with BarrysWorld get one?

Maybe the obvious one would be a new forum vote forum. People could put forward a suggestion for a new forum and if there was what you considered a sufficient response then the forum gets created and if not then it doesn't.

How about a general 'help me' forum .. there seem to be quite a few 'I can't do X' posts on various boards so why not stick em all in one forum.

Look at the savage board and see the number of "how do I get my V3 to work" type posts.
