They're pretty fucking good :)

Gone from 9290 3dmarks to 10093 just by installing the new drivers, slightly better improvement, no?

Get them here.

They Better Work :/ The Last version/s before this give me errors when i tried to access the Advanced Settings of Display Settings

/Edit Hmm on the Nvidia Website, the Latest Dets are 30.82 but them ones there say 40.41 ? Are they not the Official Versions?

Dammit

Installed the New Drivers, and once again i get this Error:

"Control Panel
An Error Occured while Windows was working with the Control panel File C:\WinNT\System32\desk.cpl"

This is while trying to access the Advanced Setting of Display Options...

Gonna have to email Nvidia and ask em wtf is goin on and why i am getting tyhis Error (I recall Yuck having this problem, and a guy called Silentb00b said he got it today also)

People often get that error because they havent properly removed the old drivers. I always got that on win me etc. However when I properly uninstalled it was ok.
These days I have XP, and when I installed the last lot of dets I didnt have to remove the old ones, and everything worked perfectly.
Except it ruined DoD, so I went back to oe !

I have this problem too SG - have used GeforceTweak to replace the .cpl utilities (can be got from http://www.geforcetweak.com )

I too removed the old versions first, but still get the error message - if you solve this/get a response that works - can you post the solution here ?

Cheers :)

I seem to get a Rundll error saying that "Error loading NvQTwk - The specified module was not found" it did used to say summit about not found in memory location before i did a few reinstalls of the driver.

I uninstalled the previous ones 1st then installed these. Tried just installing over same problems. Anyone know how to fix this?

The official site's mirror was impossible to get on yesterday, so ner :)

As for problems with the drivers, I fixed it by uninstalling them, rebooting, reinstalling them and rebooting again. Everything's fine now.

Just installed em, no problems at all, everything works , even DoD :) I have gone up from 9450 3dmark to 10180, a good jump imo.
More importantly, the "mid-range" to quote a bike term, has improved significantly in games like RtCW. Well pleased. :D

Remember these are official betas but while I'm not blaming these drivers my computer started locking up later on after update.

They totally cocked up BF1942 for me. I've gone back to 29.42 as that's the latest version my NVMAX utility works on.

When the fuck are nVidia going to implement the following two essential driver options:
  • Ability to force-enable VSYNC
  • Ability to specify refresh rate at any resolution
I don't give a shit what else they do, as far as I'm concerned these two are the biggest issues I have.

Pisses me off.

Have you tried Powerstrip ? - you can force these two using this.

I got the same problem with latest Detonator drivers in XP.

When I tried out MoHAA I found I got a better framerate but
I can see a big wireframe box marking the limit of the level....kinda ruins the 'immersiveness' factor. Gone back to a previous release now.

(PNY GeForce Ti4400 bty).

Right guys, i looked into this, and i FINALLY found how to make the New Detonator Drivers work!

Like i said, i had the "an Error occurred while windows was working with the control panel file C:\WinNT\System32\desk.cpl NVidia" so i looked around just and found a website with many people having this same problem..

I followed what he said which was:

Subject: RE: Windows NT Display problem
From: Andre
Date: 6/8/02

Hi,

I had similar problems with the desk.cpl file. I installed the latest nvidia driver for the abit card.

You can solve this by deleting the: HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\Controls Folder\Display\shellex\PropertySheetHandlers\ABIT CPL Extension key.

and it does work guys so dont worry

:clap::clap: a problem which has been plaging me for ages and i fixed it! :D
