Hi,

If anyone is interested in trying out my new map which has just been added to the list of CS maps at BW then you can download the map files from my CS Corner here:-

Click here for direct link to cs_gmw_lis map files

This is a hostage rescue map called cs_gmw_lis (lost in space).

It's a bit of Star Trek, Starwars & 2001 all rolled into one map.

Please let me know what u think of the map if you ever get round to playing it.

Nice map, needs more work with the lighting.

Yeh. U could be right but i think it's not a bad effort considering that it's only my 3rd CS map. The first time my clan tested the map i had set all the external windows to unbreakable glass which worked fine when u fired at them. They didn't break but when ufortunately one of our clan members who likes to test maps to destruction discovered that if u hurled a grenade at the windows they would break. Doh!. The external windows have all been changed to funtional walls so hopefully that will keep everyone inside the map.

You can create more interesting rooms by using pools of light to highlight certain features. The transporter room for instance, would look much nicer if there was a warm orange light on the pads, another light on the console, with the rest of the room generally dimmer.

Look at some professional photographs of interiors, or paintings, to see the effect I'm talking about. In my business, you can never walk straight into a room, plonk the camera down, and interview somebody - you have to light for 30 minutes usually, to make what is effectively a 2D image, look like a 3D image.
