Newly spotted comet is going to come very close to the sun where it will become very bright from the end of November and be visible to the naked eye by christmas - or it will just disintegrate under stress when it nears the sun if you are less romantic

Its the second coming I tells ye!

On a vaguely similar note, Tesco near me have no Halloween stuff but shelves upon shelves of Christmas shite.

Memo to self: get in Pigs in Blankets early. Yes, yes make your own much better, but if you forget, or cba, or ate all the bacon in the middle of the night, pre-made better than none. Can't beat waking up Christmas morning, old school Loony Tune & Tom & Jerry cartoons on the TV, snow outside, a glass of bubbly, and a wheelbarrow full of pigs in blankets.

Halloween is largely an american tradition. We should be celebrating 5 November.

Damnit missed the year lol. The trajectory of the comet is still not entirely pinned down with it being so far out.

My favourite scenario has the thing shattering into multiple chunks as it skims the sun then all striking the earth - would be a hell of a lightshow
