New Beserker easy question....

which race for best berserker...as i cant choose between Dwarf and Troll or Norse... and also how to spend first spec points?
i know im going to spec

50 AXE
Rest Parry

so any ideas would be good...plus i have no BB as im new, any good places for a zerk to hunt easily? i.e weak mobs.

Just go Troll, as zerk your damage is 100% str based so you will do most damage. what it comes to the first spec points, it doesnt matter, just spec laxe and axe and put the rest into parry.

well in patch 1.69 will zerkers and sb no longer wear other then axes in offf-hand if u want to duel wield, whice i found silly

i understood that part refering to Mordred/camlamn/co-oop server situations, where a SB/zerk could equip a left-hand weapon from the either other realms to negate the downsides of LA mechanics. in 1.69 this is no longer possible

so on excal this part of the patch doesn;t apply to us

Excactly, its just for pvp/coop servers where you pre 1.69 get a big advantage using alb/hib weapons in lefthand.

Hammer Styles arent Bad and you also add a damage type not usual in grps, Savages can use either slashing or Thrusting Claws. Not so many ppl to fight with out lefty Hammers either 2 as your the only 1's in the whole realm that can use em ^^

light tanks are for killing, if you want to be defensive roll a warrior or something, if you want to roll a berserker you do this to do the most optial damage you can get, and missing out on 40st (about 170 weaponskill) is not something you want to do

Well, do you actually need a crush type in group since as a light tank you will most of time go for support.

Druids and Wardens are weak to slash.

Clerics are neutral to slash while being resistant to crush.

Bards however would be weak for your damage type.

Not like it would really matter tho but *shrug*

you on drugs?, now with 50sword, and 50LA you do same damage as 50axe,50LA with offhand, you use a sword mainahand and you _CANT_ use sword offhand on non pvp servers unless you have a event drop. so no it wont be gimped

race: whichever u like the most really, troll probably has the edge and they certainly look the part, but are also an easy target on the battlefield for casters etc which can be a good or a bad thing
15str 10con (nice dmg, nice hitpoints) or 15str 10qui (max dmg, more chance of making use of your 360degree 15% evade)

spec points: max Leftaxe and keep your weapon as high as possible as u lvl, dump spare points into parry

hunting: most animal (furry) type mobs are weak to slash dmg, the trick is to try find a mob that gets a penalty to your armour too (if u can)

Troll zerk imo
You are a dmg dealer and the bonuses with troll are more beneficial to you.
Fact is chances are unless you have a bb handy you wont win in a 1 on 1 fight, so why bother speccing for it.

As a weapon i would got Axe and La rather than hammer, you are there to take out support and they are resistant to crush most the time.
Also the pillager a anytime style on axe is nice as it has a slow effect on it, buys a healer/shammy an extra second or so to get away if they are out of cc.
(Note that the sword and hammer have similar styles but the hammer is a chain off lambast and the sword is a side positional)

I respecced to sword to try it out and thought it was pretty shi* but thats just me, and my playing style so i promptly specced back to axe.


BTW you wont use ragnorak as a zerk, you will use the la chain.

Ra wise dont make the mistake of getting first aid, you will end up respeccing at 50 as it is not much use.

Strange my friend managed to get to rr7 without it

btw another zerker form my Guild just went from axe to sword for his main weapon and he is jumping for joy at ragnaroXors

Where would you get those left-hand useable hammers and swords then pray tell? Please keep in mind that this isn't a PvP server..
