New ATI Cats (3.1)

Expect another update around early March when (hopefully) DirectX 9.1 will be released, containing Pixel and Vertex 3.0 Shaders. Ironicly, it's unlikely any current hardware will support the new specification, although there is speculation the Radeon 9900Pro might just be able to squeeze in hardware support for such features, although this depends a lot on when it's released and if Microsoft choose to delay and perfect the technology.

Kind Regards

Jonty (. . . currently wondering if his hardware will ever stay up-to-date for long than a few months :p)

Just because I feel obliged to do so, there may well be yet further driver updates soon with the imminent release of ATi's next round of cards (namely the R350 (9900/9900Pro) and the RV350). Quite whether these will bring further enhancements or merely additional support for the next products, only time will tell.

Kind Regards
