Generally unhappy feeling in Mid atm from the peeps I've been chatting with. I know I don't talk to every single person that plays etc but I do know a fair number of peeps representing a wide cross section of the player population ranging from PvE players to RvR purists and also long standing players as well as new arrivals in Mid.
The PvE players levelling a new Mid char or that are new to the game are reasonably happy, as the rebalancing going on hasn't affected them much yet.
Many RvR players are going bananas or are very despondant from what I've seen so far.
Roo is unlikely to be seen on the frontier again (mez nerfed into oblivion and a DD thats weak unless ramped up with RA's, even then relatively poor damage output compared to other casters of similar realm rank, and quite frankly fuck all to make up for this to date) and I rarely play my shammy for RvR anyway. Jink is probably the last chance for me to bother paying my subs every month as I'm afraid, Mythic have screwed Mid at every opportunity over the last couple of patches and aren't missing a few more chances in the next couple either.
As a paying customer, I'm a bit pissed off with Mythic. The balancing approach they are taking may work fine on paper, but in reality, it leaves a lot of players high and dry for a period of up to several months between patches as they work round the realms in whatever order they seem to have chosen.
As with many others its only the community that makes it worthwhile.
Guess what.
The community will still be around no matter what game it chooses to play, and many of the Mid players I know have already made a choice to move on when other games become available and no matter what anyone says, you can't put it all down to boredom with the game.
I intend to have SWG and DAoC accounts when SWG becomes available, but unless Mythic get their ass in gear with Mid, I won't keep that account going.
Its up to Mythic if they want GOA to get my (increased) subs.

Aye this so call'd balancing ( LOL ) is getting way out of hand..wonder if anyone at Mythic playes mid ( LOL ) I dont think so..I was thinking of trying out either WOW or DE , but keep my daoc accounts..but if this goes trugh as it is now..well then I see no reason to keep playing daoc..if they just want us to be rp cow's for the other realms , they might as well put in some green con mob's that give rp's...

I've got in the Planetside beta and as I'm from a Tribes background (along with a fair few mids)...its heaven. I'm a PvE fan, not a RvR player so I guess the latest patches must really hurt you guys :0
It is indeed the people that made me come back once twice after quitting, but as I've been playing since US beta, I've really just about had enough.
Roo, changed my mind about SWG mate after considering the level grind involved in most MMORPG's. You get XP in Planetside but a person who just started up can kill a "veteran" so I soon picked that when I found out the release date was so soon.
I couldn't think of a nicer person than you to be a Jedi Roo - gl

If mids are unhappy there is no point in deleteing chars and moving to alb as this will only compound the problem and kill Prydwen... Hence a total waste of time for the realm hoppers.....
Mid can still kick enemy ass, as proved at Avakr faste we did have alot of mids there
in RvR i only find Stun to be the bugger mezz is good but so many people have rampant AE trigger fingers so mezzs tend not to last very long..
the mids will get some love soon , Personally I will see what new games are like and what the mid love will be before totally giving up in DAoC...

With the way their treating my favourite charactors in game, zerker, or yes LA overpowered and I refuse to be a buffblade with my sb. Mid is a fighter realm, we are ment to be high dmg in melee, I'm fed up with what appears to me to be a one sided game.
I've left the game, I've only been poping on to mid/pry a few times just to chat with friends in SoR and others.
As far as I'm concerned DAoC is only a chat program until my game time runs out.
With up coming mmorpgs on release soon, I think mid will turn into hib with hardly any people, with people leaving for such games as Plantside, Dragon Empires, SW:G, EvE, WoW and propably more.

Its just a gradual accumulation of many different tweaks to classes, the differences in availability of key classes in Mid, the lack of decent group RA's etc. etc. that are killing the realm in RvR.
Its a bit late in the game to switch realms - a lot of mids will just leave - if we lose our zerkers I think it will be pretty much a deathknell for Mid RvR - and what a lot of Alb's/Hib's dont seem to realise is that having their realms gain easy supremacy in Rvr just kills the server - you just end up with two zergs - the 3rd force always added interest.
There will still be die hards on Mid but if you lose a big chunk of the community even people who dont play zerkers or SB's will miss their friends and be forced to consider their reasons for playing.
Its a shame - Mythic have really screwed their game up with their mis-guided attempts at realm 'balance' - does it really come down to who shouts loudest on the VNU boards???
