Heres my story about my dealings with the joke of the company called Sony.

I brought my Minidisk player back in November and 1 week later returned it to the shop as the battery would die over night.

The Manager of the Sony shop gave me so much attitude I wanted to fucking nut him, apprantly it was my fault it was wrong I must not have charged it properly. So after dealing with that cock I had to go directly to Sony. Eventally I got a new battery, problem sorted or so I thought. Charged the battery for 16 hours..turned it on lasted an hour. Back to the shop I went, they sent it off to repair it took two weeks and no notice from the Sony shop when it was back, they claimed the unit had no problems so I said well it obviously does if it lasts 1 hour.

So they sent it off again, again came back with no problem listed...By this time i was getting really fucked off, this went on for 4 repairs untill july time by which I actully had the Mini Disk for about a month in my hands the rest of the time it was away for repair. Still the problem was not resolved so I decided to take it back for repair again, 6 weeks had passed and several visits to the shop being told differing information. Then one day I went in to the shop and told it was a faulty PCW board and it had been sent off to son'y to replace. Four weeks later I had the mini disk in my hand..guess what it was listed that the battery had been left to discharge over a long period which is not covered under warrenty. I was mad! it appears from the booking in sticker date of the repair centre that the shop had not sent it off for over a month, leaving the battery to discharge and voiding my warrenty.

Almost 1 year after my purchase I am still trying to get the problem fixed and they refuse to give me a replacement unit.

Next time I'll buy a fucking Ipod.

I would have taken them to court myself if that had happened to me Gamah. I would tell them either way refund/replace or your going to court/small claims court.

If that still didn't work I would just resort to going in the sony shop and assaulting the store manager until I felt better, also knowing the fact I would be arrested and face prison, but in my eyes would have been worth it.

I'd release a deadly toxin, let a plague of zombies take over for a day or two, then sit back after 6 months in the satisfaction of knowing that the store manager was pushing trolleys around the supermarket.

The product has been supplied faulty

You are entitled to a refund or replacement, if they refuse to honor that then go talk to your solicitor.

People in the UK just dont complain enough, you want to see what me and my brother get up to :) his GF wanted those lovely chicken things that Dominos do - so over the net ordered some.. and some extra things like garlic bread and a bottle of coke and stuff to get the value up to £10 (minimum for delivery)

Dominos called 10 minutes later to say they will NOT deliver the order as they had NOT ordered a pizza

After what seamed like 30 minutes arguing with the manager of the store, I overheard my brother say "fine add your cheapest pizza to the order, and provide me with a full detailed reciept" as he payed by CC

It all arrived shortly after, he took chicken things... coke.. and other stuff - but looked at the pizza and said "It looks cold, I dont want it, give me a refund" and they took it back

anyway - you've done nothing wrong... complain !!

Has something similare happen to my first mini-disc player.
The recharge/power connector was faulty, first time i pluged it in the pin receaded into the machine. Sent it back to the shop, they sent it to sony, about 2 months later i get a letter saying i voided the warranty by mis-handling the merchandise. It was my fault the pin connection was broken and i would have to pay £60 to fix it and have it shipped back. The bloody thing was on sale for £80. Three days after the letter arriveds telling me this, i had a phone call off a technician for sony, apaologising for the mix up.

Turned out that my money was refunded to me, via a cheque (for about £120, the origional price of the unit from dixons) and was asked not to persue legal action. I was bewildered by this and asked what was he going on about. Turns out that the unit was faulty from the start, the pins seciring bracket wasn't fixed down properly to begin with (the bracket being a small metal and plastic mould wrapped around the pin). Appartently this wasn't the first complaint, and after going back to it and opening it up, they saw the same fault.

Pity i didn't take action, as a web-news artical a few weeks later intormedme that sony was succesfully sued for about twenty grand between five people who all had faulty mini-discs. Pity, but still, i did get another mini-disc, a sharp model. Never had a problem in four years, works perfectly and can record upto 4 hours of music using LP4 function per disk. Compared to the Sony model, its' the dogs bollocks! Shop around, you can always find something better cheaper if your willing to forego the Name of the company.
