nerf this assasin free SL after kill crap! I wanna know if I see a dirt bag assasin fade in the shadows, when i go looking for him Im not gonna get a handbag PA to the nackers!

gotta admit it's quite powerfull as some high rr sb in sh tried to get me shortly after i had killed some high rr alb tank. usally i would have no clue anyone was there but i could see him after kill,i had time to stealth and he did the stupid thing and went for me in stealth and i had the end to just do the pa chain,if he had went for me before i stealthed and just ran at me i prob would had died.

gives new meaning to pa chain. :> basically you shouldn't be around when an inf or ns is about to kill someone, and should try to stay low for a minute. Gotta learn to do this until they change it..

i dont have a SB myself, but i have played both inf and sb the last cupple of days, and i must say. i have had more use for the inf ability then the mid ability. cant really say its OP, but jeah its abit better then mid thingy

SBs get free Increased movement after a kill (both in stealth and out of stealth)
INfs get free Stealth Lore (pretty much) after a kill
NSs get free increased "Hiding" ability after a kill (not sure on how this works.. but know u have to be right-on-top of a steathed NS after they kill to see him)

Also as a side note, I know that the NS's ability was bugged on US Servers for a while and NS's had both the NS and Inf ability at same time after a kill.
Not sure if its been fixed on US servers or if they currently have the "Double" ability on EU servers at mo.

as far as i can say we got the both, atleast after i get a deathblow i can spot stealthers miles off. (that being both infs/sbs what ever)

Usual unbalancing rubbish, since a lot of the time PA+CD+SS and the fight against another stealther is mostly won.
Might as well put an ability like SBs can hit twice as hard after a kill - makes about the same amount of sense.

Infs get increased detection of enemies (on paper)
Shades get decresed detection by enemies (on paper)

Missy kinda admited in a grab bag recently that SL was they only way to do this, so both get SL and thus they both end up with both.

supposedly it's just the icon/delve that are the same (same way you get a message about "increased damage and reduction in enemy resistances" on the heretic resist pierce buff - it's the same delve as traldors archmagery, but has no +%magic damage)

But sounds like the effects are the same as well?

"Q: Hi, I wonder whether you are aware that both infiltrators and nightshades get the same benefits when they get the killing blow on someone and these benefits are not what was described in the patch notes.

Specifically quoting from the patch notes:

"- Upon gaining a deathblow on an RvR opponent, the Infiltrator will have increased stealth detection by 25% for the next 60 seconds.

- Upon gaining a deathblow on an RvR opponent, the Nightshade will be 25% harder to detect in stealth for the next 60 seconds."

Instead of that, currently in the game, both infiltrators and nightshades get stealth lore equivalent to the one used with the artifact "ring of dances"

A: I got a little worried when I saw this and similar letters in the mailbag this week, and sent it on to the class design people. One of the great guys in PQ (The Red Headed Stepchild) retested the material to be sure it was working properly and sent the following clarification:


"Nightshades and Infiltrators are both receiving different spells that work according to what the patch notes describe. Both of these spells happen to have effects that are similar to stealth lore, which is why the player might be confused.


"Stealth Lore: Target has a greater chance of uncovering stealthed opponents. If the target has the Stealth skill, their ability to use stealth is greater as well."
