Probably phalanx(rear positional), if you were running away from the tanks. Entirely possible with a decent crit. If this had been his second strike i'd say aegis(chain off phalanx) and thats even more than possible - my cap on aegis is like 750 and im only 3L8

Annihilation is a really good style, diamond back is ok, rest of the style lines are fair (pending CD upgrade though, so we'll see?)

Alb has.....rage/revenge, d.fang, and rest are fair(pending DW upgrade as well, so we'll have to see, though dual shadows already looks nice. )

Mid, has, y'know, that left axe line with 1.00+ style modifiers on every style except for the level 2 <groan>.....other than that though, ive only heard of Ragnarok and perhaps some 2h hammer styles used in conjuction with certain fotm classes <looks at savages>

Pole arm styles are evil yes but be even more evil if you got the 6 spd apocalypse pole arm with 50 quick
