Anyone here downloaded the beta versions of these yet?also what is your thoughts on them?

I'm currently playing Earth and Beyond.
Graphically it's superb.
Gameplay wise, it's quite difficult to get into but it has a lot of promise.
I am only a level 8 so far, so not really seen much of it, but I might get the retail version when it comes out.
(assuming it comes out over here :/)

I've read a few beta tester reviews of Earth and Beyond. While it sounds like quite a good game, it appears to have plenty of downsides. One of them being that if you travel from one planet to another it can take quite a while. One example given was a 30minute (realtime) trip. You can't even go afk as you need to click on different planets on the way in stages.
Sounds too much like a horse ride between snowdonia and lyonesse to me.
Also read that when travelling between planets, you can get attacked by enemy spaceships and if they attack in a group you don't have much of a chance. Sounds a bit frustrating.
It has gone gold now I think, so should be in the shops soon, if not already.
I'd certainly be interested in hearing opinions from people that have played the game.......otherwise, i'll have to wait for Galaxies like the rest of you.

I have downloaded neocron beta version,at work right now bored as shit waiting to go home to test it out.It was 4 hours roughly to download on my broadband connection its 1.08 gb hehe.Once i have played it i will post good and bad points here.

Personally I didnt like Neocron at all but then I only gave it a few hours. Im currently playing Earth and beyond and its not bad. Lots of missions to do but yes it does take ages getting from one side of a system to the other.
The controls are a bit wierd and could be better but still simple to use all the same. Seems to be a lot of different career paths but as Ive only played it for a few hours I not sure of what the general content is like. The good thing is if you have played the beta, you can migrate your char to the live servers when they come online so you have a head start so you dont get 100s of people doing the same things right at the beginning.

Down loaded but link for registration code is a dead end so havent been able to play, and after a 1 gig download as well, sigh.

Now I've got my proper BW forum Alias unlocked! (Arya Stark is one of my alts)
I downloaded the Earth and Beyond beta from gigex, which took forever, you follow a link to a page to get the registration code. All i get is a dead page. being so close to gold I think they may have stopped registration for beta or it could just be fubar. Who knows?

Dont even bother with Neocron its not worth the D/L time, hehe
you will see what i mean after 3 hrs of killing spiders and flies in the sewers to get to lvl 2 before thinking WTF am I doing this for
E&B definately worth it, nice change of pace after playing DAoC also you can solo to about lvl 50 then you really need to group
concentrate on getting your combat XP up as explore and trade
are easy to raise, otherwise your going to gimp your char.
Not sure if there is going to be a Euro release
