I play an eldy as my main and recently its gotten pretty dull,
not that I dont like it its just that I cant really find any other hib class to play "on the side" that appeals to me :p
and with the current situation of zergy excal rvr Im not that tempted to roll anything over there.
So I thought, why not delete my BB and roll somehting here on alb prydw (several people I know play two realms).

So if anyone has any suggestions for a groupfriendly char thats needed in rvr :)
Could also use some suggestions for duos (as I might be talking a friend in to joining me)
I was thinking a might roll a minstrel or some caster class
anywyas, Id be happy for any suggestionsn you m8s can come up with

the obvious answer to "A groupfriendly char that's needed in rvr" is cleric. If you want to dou, a nice team is reaver/paladin, Merc/Paladin or Friar/Paladin. Those are all pretty much meleers/hubrids though and may not be the most soiught after classes in rvr atm. Sorc/caba is nice, but it's hard to find pve groups in pryd atm, at least at the lower lvls.

On a side note... You don't have to delete your bb on excal to make a char on prydwen.

I think he meant he has two hib/pryd accounts (of which one is a BB account).

As for classes to roll, sorcerers and clerics are always needed in RvR. :D

Sorc is very nice duo/solo char. Thou lvling... aint fun, not many grps want a sorc really and solo aint faster either. Duo would be cabby/sorc dont know about melees. Caba is rather nice to, ok solo nice in grps/duo and is rather fast lvling cous of the infinite power pet.

What Albion needs is more armsmen, specifically more crossbow armsmen!

Albion needs more Hibs ;)

How do you want to rvr - running in an opted group or joining keep seiges with 50+ other people? There's more of the keep seiging going on atm, though there might be around 4 Alb groups running solo on some evenings.

The trouble is there're hardly any Hib/Mid groups out. I've seen one Hib and two mid groups in the past few days, mostly filled with high RR players so the average Alb group has a hard time against them :p

Trying full-group RvR now results in meeting perversely opted opposition, or severe randoms with bluecons among their ranks.

I mostly prefer running in opted groups or random fgs, (although I dont mind the odd zerg keeptake now and then)

are these random ones and will I have a hard time joining one of em or are they opted GGs ?
also will I have trouble getting artigroups ? ^^
looks like im gonna roll a sorc or a cabby, any spec-suggestions ?

sorc/caba is likely the most solid duo around, taking out upto around 5-6 ppl, isnt really unusual, if you have a bit luck.

Sorcerers, clerics, reavers, friars. I noticed theres not much RvR active friars nowadays, and there should - static trap, healing, resists, and more - they are very useful. Although I never have played a friar so I do not really know if its that fun.

Seen a lot more sorcs around than before nf, tho I do think most of them went body (or body/mind). Only seen a few mind sorcs.
Then again I need to go out and get a life, look at the time x<<<

well there are more sorcs around now but they are still hard to find when you want them.

Also not an abundance of clerics these days but are easier to find than sorcs.

well im 44mind 31 body RR6 tho so makes abit of difference.
If you solo'in matter/mind can be good fun for pve, but most will go mind/body for solo pve.

to be honset dont roll a cleric.

If people say were lacking them, then how come they dont invite them into RvR groups at all?

last month ive had around 5 rvr groups only, rest of the time ive had to run around solo, just rezz dead albs......great fun......honest

Solo spec is 40body 36 mind. Its way the best solo spec since you need lots of power (read FOCUS) after you mezz the fg and wanna nuke em all to death solo. After you killed em all remmeber to do A /flex at em.

Albion need more armsman

they r0xor

on a more serious note:
play what you like. if you are a pve freak roll a necro, if you like support go for cleric. If you want a caster sorc / theurg / cabalist are pretty nice. Wiz is a bit a 1 trick pony and sub par with compatible classes in other realms.

Sorc and Cabalist both level pretty decent solo or together with necro.

Agree.
Currently theres far too much Clerics infact, no idea why people keep saying we need more Clerics as theres so many now since NF (and I am not talking about buffbots either).

If you want RvR groups roll a caster, doesn't matter which caster as all Albion casters are currently very needed in basically any group setup (exception is the Necro of course..).
Casters are also easier to level to 50 in my experience anyway and I don't see this game going back to dark age of tank-alot in the near future so with rolling a caster your generally safe and overpowered for the next few months / years :)
