You may want to wait for the patch as mythic are adding a number of items that will change vamp templates for the better (e.g. Getting 10 resist pierce will be easy).

can already see the stats on pendragon, so he can make the temp now, just not complete it before 1.103

This is true but who is to say things won't be modified before the patch goes live...
