I've got another query, how do you lower your ping rating. mine is quite high and i am slower than the other players and just get my ass whoped. by the way i dont use warez i bought the game.

You're using a modem right? Get cable or adsl..

That wasn't very helpful but true.
Modems,56k, on a good connection (ie try different ISPs or dialing in direct to a gaming service like Barrys or I guess new ones like thrustworld, will give you a ping of 150 at best-200+ and you will generally get your ass whooped.
ISDN is faster but costs a lot, ie paying calltime like a normal phone plus additional costs for the line....very expensive for home use really.
Pings probably at 100 and slightly below in my experience but not as fast as cable or adsl.
Cable...this is what I use. I'm with NTL but Telewest also offer this. Very low pings, 30-50 generally and lowest cost for broadband at the moment, I pay around £25/month for pernmanent 24/7 connection. Downside is you have to use their phone package too.
Adsl....hmm I had this but experienced a lot of problems with my pc re compatabilty and the service from BTopenworlds was pants. When it worked though it was fine and I could have 2 pcs online, each with pings of 40 (when it worked) This is an expensive option at the moment and my advice is to do your homework first. Check the specs of your pc and tell them before you go down this route. Generally if you have a choice between cable and adsl in your area I would get cable.

If your on a 56k Modem, you need to have a good ISP to ping ok.
Im currently using Tiscali and I ping about 130-200 on servers, I personally find it good.
While playing I have these settings..
Rate: 3000
Snaps: 25
MaxPackets: 30
Try that, but teh rate does depend on what you are connected to the net normally. Just keep changing initll you find a good solid 150 ping
