is there any console command to make quake 3 more like counter-strike 1.1 (the bullets leave the gun exactly when i click the mouse button and where i see an enemy may not be where he really is)????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????

What you refer to sounds like you simply have a poor connection or your on a poor server. There is the command:

cg_smoothclients 1

which will add extra player prediction code. This will attempt to make things look smoother on your screen by predicting the movement of 'choppy' players. It can get the prediction wrong though, which makes some people not use it. I can't decide myself whether I like it or not tbh.

It maybe timenudge you're looking for.If you set a negative timenudge,you see people a fraction of a second before they're actually there.It's basically a command to counteract ping,giving a more LAN like feel to the game.
The downside is,as it predicts where the player is going to be,its not 100% accurate,tho I use it and not had any probs with it

If you're an LPB,set it 10 or 20 lower than your ping.ie. if you got a 50 ping put the command cl_timenudge -30 in your config.Not sure whats best for modem users,and note that if you use too high a value the game gets VERY jerky

Yes

Yes, it means that players are in many different places at once depending on who's screen you look at, but the server works it out depending on your ping(its like clientside prediction, but without some of the problems) which leads to some interesting effects where ppl with low pings, can get quite a long way round a wall, and then be hit by someone with a high ping, for who you are still standing in the open.

thats gay....I spent a lot of time and money on fatpipe so i could piss all over HPB (I used to be one so its not unfair) and if all this nonsense was possible it would kinda remove the need for a dogs bollocks connection and I would have wasted my cash!

(yes i have no skillz and rely on my broadband for points) :)

Your evil hatstand plan will not get my vote !
