need help chooseing(sp?) subjects

hey im going back and starting college again this year and have to choose 4 subjects...alrdy chosen english and geograpy but have 2 choose 2 more subjects out of-

Phsychology
Archeology
legal science
Classical civilisation
Socialogical and political science.

Anyone have any idea if these coarses are easy (only have to continue with 2 after first year and they gona be the ones alrdy chosen),interesting or that kind of thing?

Well i'd skip Archaeology if you want it easy, its a lot harder than a lot realise (I did it at College myself). It can however be quite interesting to study if you have an interest in the past, or in Forensic Science (the reason i took it). Classical Civilisation always seemed a little bit of a joke subject to me, studying the Art, Literature and Politics of the Mediterranean centuries ago....why does that need its own subject?
I can't speak on the others since i never studied them

Well Phsychology is always a mickey tbh... So if you want something "easy" pick that hehe.

But imo take some time to think about it and see if you can find subjects that you think you might enjoy.

I would pick the Socialogical and political science course.

depends totally on whether you want it "easy" or want to look back on college as "time well spent"

sociology is easier than psych fyi- at university level anyways so guessing its similar at college level, which makes it the ultimate pisstake subject (creative writing aside)

how about for being an archaeologist? there is a girl i went to school with who went on to do that at uni and now does it for living, digging shit up all over the world.

btw i wouldnt pick subjects just because they are easy, it should be if your interested or not. if a subject is easy but your not interested you probably wont bother with it.

Ah, but how many archaology jobs are there compared to the people that take the courses? How many of those "students" just end up working in an office 9 to 5?

It is rare that people actual make it when they study an "advanced" subject, like archaeology, geography etc. Granted, some people I know have gone on to work for oil companies after leaving uni, but the amount that struggle to find employment in their chosen field are a lot more common

My recommendation, keep one "advanced" subject, like your archaology, but keep 2 choices for something useful in the modern world, such as maths, IT or a foreign language, like French, German or even Polish(Polish might sound a long shot, but a lot of people speak it in the UK, thus earning you a nice interpritation job). But German is always a good language, easier than the french. I was tempted to study Dutch, but did Japanese instead.

when i said college i meant uni...we refer to uni as college here in ireland.....mahts and it are options but my brain just doesnt work that way...tried science last year and it was just crap.....the reason i wnat easy subjects is im only continuing with two of em and as i love english and geography ive alrdy decided on them....so just want 2 easy passes in the others so i can concentrate on the ones i like...soc and pol is looking good tho...

Well from what ive been told by friends who did it last year it concentrates on things like when a verbal contract becomes legal and focuses on precedents in a big way.....was told id have to remember loads...its kinda putting me off in a way....basicaly here in ireland getting law after your exams is crazy hard so if you dont get it you can do legal science for 3 years then do law...a back door if you will

sounds similar to a module i did last year. so i am ofc gonna recommend that yeh you do need to remember a lot but aslong as your not smoking pot every night it shouldnt be too hard. its very, very useful to know just for day to day shit and not many people know about it so its always nice if you can help a friend out if they have a problem.
