Need advice on buying new video card

Need advice on upgrading video card from TNT2 Ultra.

The choices are (as I see it):

1) GF2 Ultra at around £450

2) Herc GF2 (pro now?) 64Mb at £300

3) Creative GF2 32Mb at £200


I'm looking for something that will give significant performance improvement but also is worth the cost.

Please advise.

At the moment as I understand it (and its certainly the case with the Geforce Cards) the 64mb version of the GF2 doesnt show much of a performance increase over the 32mb version up to playable res of 1024x768. As a result I would go for the Creative Card if you can get it for £200. The Hercules card wont show £100 quid extra performance. The GF2 will show quite a bit of improvement at a reasonable price(esp playing Q3 or Q3 engine games). Dont get the Ultra - the new Nvidia card will be out in Jan/Feb and the value of the ultra will halve. You could spend the extra £250 you save on an Abit Kt7-Raid plus amd Duron 850 gteed to 1.1ghz at overclockers.co.uk.

I'd get the 32 meg card, specially if you don't play @ over 1280*1024 as it's plenty quick for that res really.

The ultra is waaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaay too expensive and 100 quid for 32meg ram doesn't seem too good in terms of value to me
