No the thing is you cant buy it without the expanstion and the pc it will be run on cant take it

Well considering that my crappy 750MHz thunderbird with GayForce2MX and 256MB ram runs SI better than the classic, I'd recommend getting SI. The requirements are just for the cool effects and full details.

its for a laptop with 16meg intel graphics ...render creation failed anyone ?

I have SI on my main machine and its smooth as anything (main pcs a bit of a beast )

Also even if you can only get a combo bundle, you don't need to install the SI part of it, you get two separate disks - classic Camelot and SI so just install the DAoC and leave SI to one side until you get a better laptop.
