Need a bit of advise!

Need a bit of advise concerning one of my alts' specc. It's a hero lvl47 atm and im planning to respecc him to shield (race: celt), my question is what dmg type do u recomment? Since mid chain is resistant to slash im thinking about thrust or blunt..Any ideas are welcome

50 crush, 50 or 42 shield, rest parry

Thats if u want a Shield tank

thrust has the most advantageous resistances/vulnerabilities in the other realms armours, imo

depends if your char has good dex or not

Talk to saryon or ilaya for info about blunt (they are shield/blunt champs), talk to Easdown about pierce (pierce/shield hero).

Pierce has the best damage type for molesting support classes, but blunt has better styles for a shield tank.

Blunt spec works best with higher parry than shield. 39 spec is stunning blow (BIG attack spd decrease.. better than any champs spell) then followed up with devasting blow (50 spec and 6 sec stun). Shield only gives a 4 hit combo that isnt as good. 2 parries in a row with blunt and parry combo suddenly turns into a 7-9 hit combo that destroys your target totally. Need to be fast though

Would this specc work 50 blunt 42 shield 39 parry then? But on the other hand im thinking alot about 50/50/28 since imo 1hand tanks aren't designed for killing but protecting casters, especially with 1.62

Cori was blunt/shield specced and when respecc came, he tryed pierce. But he thought it sucked, so he respeced back to blunt. Really depends I guess.
