When a cleric buffs a Necro, does he buff the shade or the pet ?

Silly question i guess, just wanna make sure.

I think it's just the unbuffed stats that pass through to the shade but I could be wrong :)

Would make sense like that - at one point you had the caster's _buffed_ resistances stacking with the buffs on the pet to get ridiculous levels :) but that was fixed.

The shade only gets any real benefit int and dex buffs. Anything else is really just a waste - except maybe a str buff to allow more loot to be carried :) Since many of the spells are "insta" cast by the shade - with the pet having a 3 sec cast-time - the dex buffs are fairly low priority.

The pet should be buffed with everything possible. Con, dex, any anything/everything else you can spare.

I have not tested whether the pet gets any benefit from the int buff. Im guessing they do - but cant say for certain.

easy way to test...

nuke a blue with no buffs
get an acuity buff on the caster...
nuke the blue
get an acuity buff on the pet...
nuke the blue :)
