Necro - PL

I've been powering an alt down in barrows and it's gone very fast until it hit level 41, then all of a sudden the exp gain rate dropped hugely and now it seem's pl'ing at Wight's is'nt as good as it was. (Was hoping to pl the alt to 48). Any other necro's find this annoying? If so what do you do to solve the problem (if there is a solution)

White Lights con higher, try those.

its noted on the necro US boards that this happens, the PL char stops capping at 39 afaik, so beyond that its bloody slow yes. White lights may be good yeh, nice camp etc and higher con so more xp for your alt.

plus it free's up wights for some more people

Since, as allready stated, exp cap drops when monsters begins turning red/low purple for two people, its getting slower, at level 45+ its actually faster to duo with a friar, and far more faster in a group, theres a reasons groups are so popular etc. Necro PL is for level 1 to 40.

Groups are so popular because not everyone has access to a level 50 necro on a second account to pl with.

I may try wight lights, but i've been there before and last time the exp was very very slow as i killed the mobs slower and the camp sometimes ran dry. Although my alt was around 30 - 35. I'll go try them somtime and see if it improves.

white lights are very good, might also consider AC too, I did some there and it worked nicely for me, had access to buffs though which really make a difference for the necro. Barrows is ok if you have the room for yourself and kill very fast up to 45.

XP at 41 slows noticably no matter what you do, grouping, PL, solo, its just how the game is. Should be around 20-30min for 1 bub i guess at lights, then it slows again later on.

PL isnt really any faster than a good group above 40, so you cant really expect it to be a walk in the park, its still a LOT of effort to get to 48 even at lights.

Only advantages of PL over 40 is:

- you dont have to rely on random newbs to not go AFK, and to actually know how to play their char in XP grouops
- can PL when you want (given the camps are free)
- dont have to rely on 7 other people to get going

if you want to level as fast as possible sort out a decent XP group, its the best way

i found the best way to XP is to get another necro, lvl 49 or smt, that needs good xp, have a BB, and go to the area around sidi, with oj/red/purp undead mobs. and have ur low lvl in the grp.. its the fasted xp in albion, if not the DaoC universe if u know how to play in that area.
i lvled from 49,2-50 in 5h. it was more than a bub each houer. and hes alt that was 46 at that time, dinged to 49. i was, as u proly understod, the lvl 49. best xp ive ever had. constant, no stop killing iof purp/red mobs in a grp of 3 ppl.

ofc not many know how to do this, and most necros solo when they PL.
i was doing solo when this lvl 50 necro came to me and asked if i wanted to join him, and i have no regret to saying yes. was both fun and superb xp.

Matter caba at tangs is still fairly fast. Faster than most normal groups anyway.
