Crap Nationwide?

Anyone else bank with Nationwide? Got a Cash Card+ and I got paid today, it's today since it's 02:45. Anyway, for some reason, and for the second time, despite the money being in there 1 paypal payment, 1 direct internet card payment and 1 phone payment have been refused. Just wondering if anyone has experienced this issue. Will be going into the bank today and kicking up a shit, got bills to pay damnit!

Same here.
I've had a DD go out at the same time as my money went in. The statement showed a negative figure for the DD taken out, then a positive with the money gone in. I don't have an overdraft either.

I remember when I first started working that my money wasn't in the bank first thing, I suppose it depends whether your employer pays by BACS or CHAPS. BACS being paid several days before and hitting your account at 12:00 on the specified date. CHAPS is a near instant transaction, so if they run the payment first thing on the day then it will transfer shortly after.

Or it could be that Nationwide are just shit.

I've got an a/c with Nationwide. Never really had any problems with them if I'm being honest. Better than Natwest, who sucked on so many levels, I ditched them.

Indeed they are being a sub company of HSBC. They will not be going anywhere soon
